We have had a bird bath/feeder by the breakfast nook window for a while now. We would have an occasional Cardinal. Now the birds have found it and we have had quite the assortment just in the past two days.
I have been naming them to Ezekiel and checking myself, on a few, in our bird books. (He knows Cardinal and Robin.) This morning we've had several Doves and I was pretty sure they were "Mourning Doves" but wanted to check. After I verified this, I told Ezekiel.
His response - Oh, they are not night-night doves. It isn't night night time.

Cute - so literal.
ReplyDeleteToo funny. I thought of this entry just yesterday when Dakota told me that the "morning" dove at our bird feeder was called that because it woke him up in the morning.
