Ezekiel seems to say: Do I really have to sit here for pictures? I could be trick or treating, whatever that is. At the first few houses we'd have to really encourage Ezekiel to say "trick or treat", but after being handed candy after every time he understood. He would go up with Jason and say, "trick or treat, please" and hold out his hand.
Everyone in our neighborhood was really nice and talked to Ezekiel and thought Evelyn was too cute (I carried her). We obviously didn't collect candy for Evelyn, but an elderly man saw her coming and ran in the house really quickly and came back out. His wife came out just a minute later with a piggy bank for Evelyn. Several people asked if she wanted some candy. A couple people gave me candy, saying I could eat it for her.
We saw a lot of parents dressed up with their kids. I think Halloween is just an excuse for adults to dress up and eat (their kid's) candy. Next year I'm going to dress up and well, we already eat Ezekiel's candy. Next year we will have Evelyn's too! :)
Thanks to Nana for the pictures and Aunt Heather for Evelyn's festive shirt & kitty hat, and Ezekiel's pumpkin outfit.
